Towards intersectionality
In cooperation with Rosa Lëtzebuerg a.s.b.l., and the Ministry for Gender Equality and Diversity
Based on initial research carried out in early 2024, this workshop seeks to open up a discussion regarding the experiences of trans people in Luxembourg who may experience racism and ethno-racial discrimination and/or whose citizenship may create access barriers in Luxembourg.
To do so, the workshop will provide an introduction to:
- The current representation of trans people in Luxembourg’s media landscape
- Racism and ethno-racial discrimination in Luxembourg
- Access barriers related to citizenship in Luxembourg
After an initial presentation of research, collective exercises will allow participants to identify potential spaces of discrimination for the concerned trans people in Luxembourg and how such discrimination could be addressed. Through these collective exercises, the workshop also seeks to spark a more intersectional and representative approach to archiving trans identities and experiences within and across Luxembourg.
Target Audience: open to all, focus on media and archives in Luxembourg and services working to support trans people in Luxembourg
