I have loved Alinea for years - and I'm not the only one.  That's why the beloved bookstore has just moved out of its Harry Potter cozy space with winding staircases and narrow passages to its brighter, much more spacious quarters practically across the street. The old haunts were cool for bibliophiles, but shop employees had some real ups and downs - too many of them, in fact, in the course of a working day negotiating those tight staircases. The new location offers the same large quantity of books in various languages, including biographies, travel books, novels, short stories, history, philosophy, art, design, humor, and they are neatly arranged on tall bookshelves.  Children and young readers have a section all to themselves, a colorful inviting space brimming with new selections and timeless classics. If you are looking for something particular, the people working there love books as much as you do and can help.  They can even point out books by local writers, and that community is growing in little Luxembourg!  An added plus - I always find interesting gifts here too, like miniature book sets, puzzles, journals, stickers, pens, gift cards, and more.  My latest purchase?  Charlie Mackery's 'The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse". Yes, it might technically be for children, but I think the drawings and the sentiments it so delightfully expresses make it essential reading for everyone.
