Cities Connection Project 06—LUX

“Shared living spaces” is the theme chosen for the 6th edition of the “Cities Connection Project” series, curated by Nicola Regusci, Xavier Bustos, and Nathalie Brison. Cities Connection Project is an ode to contemporary architecture, created in this case by bringing together three European cities/regions — Wallonie-Bruxelles (BXL), Basel (BSL), and Barcelona (BCN) — chosen for the quality of their architectural achievements.

The principle is simple: twenty recent urban projects from a mix of programmes (housing, schools, cultural centres, leisure centres, public spaces, green spaces, etc.) in each of the three featured cities/regions are presented in an exhibition. The sharing of spaces and activities, as well as the diversity of programmes, are the common features of the projects illustrated in this exhibition, which highlights the different approaches and processes experimented by architects from different cities or countries in very heterogeneous contexts.

On the occasion of the travelling exhibition “Cities Connection Project 06.

Shared living spaces” at luca - Luxembourg Center for Architecture, the curators have selected five projects from Luxembourg with the aim of establishing a dialogue between projects by local architects and those from Wallonia-Brussels, Basel and Barcelona.
