Štefica, a lonely woman from Zagreb struggling with weight and depression, changes her lifestyle with encouragement from a colleague and finds self-acceptance through three men. Filmmaker Dunja, dealing with her own romantic issues, directs a TV series based on Štefica’s story. This adaptation of Dubravka Ugrešić's novel Štefica Cvek In The Jaws Of Life was named Best Yugoslav Film of 1984, celebrating its 50th anniversary.
