Dear visitor,

The Luxembourg City Tourist Office has the honour and great pleasure to organise up to 8 guided tours of the grand ducal Palace per day in several languages.

Sanitary measures

To ensure the safety of our customers, guides and employees, we have implemented the following safety measures:

• The number of participants during visits of the grand ducal Palace is strictly limited to 9 participants plus 1 guide.
• All participants are required to wear a mask/face covering for the duration of the guided tour, regardless of whether an interpersonal distance of 2 meters can be maintained. Children under the age of 6 are exempt from this obligation.
• Social distancing must be respected.
• All tours start in front of the Luxembourg City Tourist Office information desk (Place Guillaume II) in the city centre.
Safety regulations
• Each visitor must walk through the body scanner at the entrance of the palace. Please empty your pockets beforehand.
• Luggage will be inspected and is prohibited inside the palace.
• It is forbidden to take pictures inside the palace.
• Drinks and snacks are not allowed inside the palace.
• Strollers must be left at the entrance of the palace. Parents have to carry their babies during the tour.
• Animals are not allowed (with the exception of service dogs).

Guided tours of the Grand Ducal Palace

Guided Tours from 14 July until 30 August 2020

During the summer months, visitors can take a peek behind the scenes at the grand ducal Palace – synonymous with Luxembourg’s independence and closely linked to the history of Luxembourg’s citizens. Built as a city hall, the building has been transformed several times over its 450-year history. The grand ducal Palace has been the city residence of the Grand Duke of Luxembourg since 1890.
