Turning Space Resources into Solar Panels for Lunar Exploration
Every second Saturday of the month between 3 and 5 pm, meet and chat with a space amateur passionate or professional living in Luxembourg. Let him/her explain his/her passion for space through the objects he/she brings into the exhibition. Let yourself be carried away by his/her exciting adventures or work.
Today : Luca Celiento from Maana Electric - Turning Space Resources into Solar Panels for Lunar Exploration
Maana Electric is a Luxembourgish space company developing In-Situ Resource Utilization (ISRU) technologies. The goal is to use lunar dust (or regolith) to extract chemicals such as Oxygen, Silicon, Iron, Titanium, Aluminum and others. These materials are processed to locally manufacture products, such as solar panels, to support lunar exploration and facilitate the establishment of a permanent human presence on the Moon.
