Charity Meet-Up “Ukrainian Women: Resilience & Heritage”

Charity Meet-Up “Ukrainian Women: Resilience & Heritage”

In Ukrainian tradition, women have always held a prominent position as independent individuals with nearly equal rights and freedoms as men. They have been active participants in shaping historical events, not only within the country but also beyond its borders.

Alongside Irena Karpa, we will watch the impactful documentary film "Oh, Sister!" that captures the courage and resilience of six remarkable women in Ukraine as they face the challenges of the ongoing Russian invasion. We will discuss the pivotal role of the female image, which holds a central place in Ukrainian culture and plays a crucial role in shaping society. Irena Karpa, a renowned feminist, Ukrainian writer, journalist, TV presenter, singer, a member of PEN Ukraine. Irena Karpa previously served as the first secretary for cultural affairs of the Embassy of Ukraine in France.

Entrance to the event is by donation. All funds raised will be transferred to LUkraine's project.
